Otherwise known as "I have no idea what I'm doing"

This game came out of my haphazard scribblings during english class while trying to look like I was paying attention to speeches? And I don't even balancing so it's highly likely what the french call a mod d'bastard. (They don't actually call it that.) I'm very sorry if it ends up, like, crap.
Some details will probably be supplied once the game thread hits. Maybe they won't.

I don't actually expect thirteen people, you just choose whatever number and I'll chop out the blanks afterwards :'D

uh hiroshi. there's two things. one is the statement was ambiguous as to which side of the equation was meant to be greater. the other thing is that with your interpretation, the statement holds true for All X in (0,4) (using set notation to indicate non-inclusion). these boundaries hold due to the fact that -ve numbers, when squared, become positive and hence under your interpretataion the statement could never hold true beyond 0. on the other side 2 is the only other number which when doubled or squared still equates to the same number and that number is 4, which gives us 4 as the other boundary. this of course is via inspection. it's also possible through the quadratic equation (x/4)^2 vs x, although this took a few more seconds personally.

also, 8 is not directly the number for 'luck' in general, 8 is the number for money/financial prosperity which just happens to usually equate to the same thing for them.

Also by all your boundary analysis proving that any non-zero positive integer below 4 fits the equation you just proved my statement that it was really easy to find a number to fit. In fact my first guess and check was a hit lol. ^n^
And, as always, interpretations of math specified in English are up to the person reading them not the person writing them.

It sounds intense (and it sometimes is!) but it's really fun too and you'll get the hang of it in no time I'm sure.
